Gala Soccer Day Information
The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Councils Soccer Gala Day will be held in Tamworth on Friday 16th September 2022. The day commences at 9.00am sharp and concludes at approximately 2.00pm. Soccer will be played at the Gipp St playing fields, Tamworth. Parents will need to arrange transport for their own children to attend the event in Tamworth.
Wearing of shin guards is compulsory and players will need to supply their own to play. All students need to be in full school sports uniform including green shorts. Soccer boots (not compulsory) are allowed to be worn and students will be supplied with soccer socks on the day, generously donated by the school P&F. Skins are allowed to be worn when playing, however school uniforms must be worn on top.
Students will also need to bring recess and lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat. Alternatively, full canteen facilities will be available, CASH ONLY.
Rugby Union Day Information - Walgett 2022
St Joseph’s Primary School in Walgett is hosting a Primary Rugby Union Gala Day. This day will be held in Walgett on Wednesday 21st September 2022. This competition is open to students in Year 3/4 or Year 5/6. Participating students are required to be playing in current Rugby Union competitions. We have 3 students from our school who will be competing in this event. Parents will need to arrange transport for their own children to attend the event in Walgett.
All students will be provided with a uniform to wear for the St Joseph’s Team, but I would suggest taking a pair of footy shorts. Footy boots, mouth guard and head gear are compulsory to be worn. Students will also need to bring recess and lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat.
