Dear Westall SC Community,
As we reach the end of Term 3, we have much to reflect on and be proud of. This is the first full year of onsite schooling since 2019 and I think all students and staff have done a wonderful job in re-establishing routines. I am sure everyone is ready for a rest and a holiday, and I would encourage everyone to take advantage of this 2-week break and make time to do the things you enjoy.
Our school will undertake its 4-year review in Term 4, and this is a standard process every Government school goes through every 4 years. We continue to be a high-performing school with some excellent results. Some highlights identified in preparing for this review are shared here.
The 2 important takeaways for me are that as a school community – students, parents/carers, and staff - we have done an incredible job across the COVID period in staying connected, maintaining attendance rates, running online lessons, and supporting the wellbeing and connectedness of our students. The other takeaway is that whilst our results are good, we want them to be great and we will continue to strive for ongoing improvement, high standards and excellence. Our school review will inform this pursuit.
Happy reading and happy holidays.
