Principal's Message

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

The Art Show Opening was an amazing night; bringing the school community together to celebrate the artistic achievements of our students. It was also a great opportunity for parents to come into the school and view our beautiful facilities. The Glow Room was a huge success and impressed our visitors.

 I draw you attention to our special Art Show page in this newsletter.

Tree Planting

Yesterday's Tree Planting Day was also another great activity for our students. God was certainly looking after us by providing such lovely weather conditions.

All students were able to plant a tree, shrub or seedling which has brightened up our school grounds. We hope that over the coming years these plants will provide more shade and attract birds and wildlife to the area.

A special thanks to Natalie Moran and Marie Niclair for giving up their time for the entire day to assist with the planting. Thanks also to the Kakavas family for donating three advanced gum trees, to the Morelli's for donating the mulch and to our other parents who came along to assist on the day. Your help was truly appreciated and we could not have done it without you.

God of creation,

you made us to live ‘dignified and fulfilled lives.’

Give us: awareness to see traces of you

in the world around us;

courage and passion to live sustainably;

strength to repair what we have damaged;

and wisdom to change our minds,

our hearts and our ways.

We make this prayer through Jesus, who shows us the way.

Amen

School Improvement Surveys

All families have been invited to participate in the  Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools – School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS). MACSSIS is an annual process whereby schools listen to the thoughts and feelings students, families and staff have about how their school can improve. These surveys help inform the ongoing improvement of schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

One of the main goals of the family survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in our school. MACSSIS data benefits everyone within our school and provides valuable community insights on areas that each school can focus on. Our school believes it is important to encourage families to have a voice and contribute to shaping the ongoing improvement of the school.

The survey is available online, but needs to be completed by Friday 16 September 2022.

Parents will have received an email with a link to the surveys.

Footy Colours Days

Don't forget your footy colours for tomorrow as well as our special lunch day.

I would like to congratulate the children on their efforts this term and thank the teachers for their enthusiasm and dedication to their profession. I hope all our children and families manage to take some ‘time out’ these holidays to relax and spend some quality family time together.

I look forward to welcoming everyone back in Term 4 on Monday 3rd October.

Take care and keep safe everyone
