Messages from our Librarian - Mrs Adams

Merry Christmas from the Library

I wish you all a safe, happy and restful Christmas and holiday. It's been a busy and fun year. I always find holidays a great time to catch up on reading and love giving books for Christmas presents.

While we stop borrowing  actual books over the holidays we do have the most wonderful reading platforms which we encourage you to use.

Reading Platforms

Sora

Sora is an amazing EBook platform with many Australian titles being continually added. There are picture books, novels, short stories, graphic novels, comics and nonfiction books. There are also audiobooks to borrow. The benefit of this platform is that you can borrow whenever or wherever you like and the books are automatically returned. All the children need is a computer or Ipad or similar and their logins for their Chrome Books at school. You can download the app and start reading or read on the computer. Download the books and read them anywhere.

Username and Passwords will be children's logins for their Chrome Book

If you have problems with the link search for Sora app and then search for school which is ACEN (we are part of the Australian Education Betwork ) then choose Armidale Diocese And login with school login. Our Stage 2 and 3 children will be able to do this.

Storybox Library

I love this platform. Beautiful Australian books are read by actors, artists, authors etc. Then once the reading is finished activities for home are provided. Wonderful for the holidays if you are needing something to do. An app can be downloaded to the IPad or Iphone.
