A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL LYMAN

Dear BAMS Families,

Most people I run into these days ask how the start of the year has been. My answer this year has been "really good!" In comparison to any of the past few years, this has been a dream. Kids are able to experience a a more typical school school experience for the first time in a while.

With that said, we are seeing an increase in absences and COVID cases, and it is really important that you do not send your child to school if they have any symptoms including:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Test kits are available at our office.

One other important note: we have a significant substitute teacher shortage. If you or someone you know is interesting in filling in as a sub, please call the Central Office for more information at (802) 254-3730.

Sincerely,

Keith Lyman- Principal

Our School's Website

Our website offers a lot of information about the school. Right on the main page, you can find links to updates sports information, announcements, and links to each team's homework website. I encourage you to check it out on a regular basis.  http://bams.wsesdvt.org/

IMPORTANT: Parent Portal and School Forms

One of the most important things you can do to be ready for the year ahead is to set up your Parent Portal account in Power School.  PowerSchool, our on-line student information system, is a valuable tool for keeping you up-to-date on your child’s attendance, coursework assignments, grades and athletic registration information. PowerSchool is also where our BAMS forms requiring parental permission are located.

Once you have set up your parent portal, please fill out the beginning of the year forms that we need from all BAMS families.  They can be found by clicking the “Forms” tab on the left menu of your Parent Portal page

If you need assistance setting up the parent portal, contact George Bernegger at gbernegger@wsesdvt.org or call 802-451-3532.

Recognizing student achievements is an integral part of our community here at BAMS. Students' names, photographs, writing and artwork may be published on our website, newsletters and in our BAMS Yearbook.  In addition, the Honor Roll lists are submitted in the local newspapers.

At any time, parents may elect NOT to authorize BAMS to publish your student's name, photograph, writing or artwork.  If you would NOT like your student's information published, please e-mail Karen Damian, Registrar at kdamian@wsesdvt.org.
