Football News

In the last edition we reported that OV’s Sam Siggins (Lauderdale) had won the best and fairest in the Tasmanian Statewide League and that Alex Blair had won the B&F for the Southern Old Scholars Football Association. Since then the Southern Football Association has announced its B&F - the winner was Josh Green (pictured above) of the Lindisfarne premiership team. Josh, a former student of Mackillop and GYC, is the son of Michael Green (SVC 1977-84). Josh had previously played 81 games with the Brisbane Lions and 24 with Essendon prior to his return to Tasmania.
Also noticed that Jarrod Collis (SVC 1997-00) was the captain and coach of the Tasmanian Over 35 AFL team that competed in the recent AFL Masters Carnival in Adelaide.
