Class Updates and Reminders

Grade Prep

Dates to Remember:

• Werribee Zoo- Friday November 25th 

Reminders:

• Hats: Please remember to have pack or leave a broad brimmed hat at school. This is really important on Beach School days as there is no shade available on the beach. 
• Library: Prep students have Library each Tuesday, so please help remind your child to pack their library bag and books so as they can borrow. 

Grade 1

Dates to Remember:

• Library days for Grade One students are on a Monday. Please remember to return your child's books each Monday, so as students can enjoy a variety of texts at home and used within their Independant Reading boxes. 
• Week 11- December 15th - Grade One Publishing Picnic. As part of the students completing a Published Imaginary Story, we will be inviting families to join us for a picnic where students will present and share their stories. All are welcome. 

Reminders:

• Swimming in Week 9 - 28/11- 2/12 
  • Grade 1A- Depart School 12:00 pm 
  • Grade 1B- Depart School 12.30pm
  • Grade 1C- Depart School 1.00pm
• Make sure all clothing it labeled, and students have their belongings in a watertight bag.
• Older Person Inquiry Presentation: While most students in Grade One have bought in their presentation and presented it to the class, some have still not been done. This speaking and listening task needs to be done ASAP. 
• Homework Books: Please remember that homework books are to be bought to school on a Monday and Friday. Please remind your children to have these in their bags.

Grade 2

Dates to Remember:

• Swimming in Week 9- 28/11- 2/12 
  • Grade 2A- Depart School 12:00 pm 
  • Grade 2B- Depart School 12.30pm
  • Grade 2C- Depart School 1.00pm

Reminders: 

• Make sure all clothing it labelled, and students have their belongings in a watertight bag.
• The children will be allowed to wear thongs or slides between the school and the pool (only) in the interest of saving time.

Grade 3

Dates to Remember:

• Bike Day Thursday 1st of December 11:25 - 3:00pm.
• Week 10 - Swimming 5/12 - 9/12

Reminders:

• Please log onto compass and approve Bike Day and Swimming.
• All students are required to have a hat to play outside.

Grade 4

Dates to Remember:

• Tuesday, the 29th of November, Garden Celebration Day, 9 - 11am
• Wednesday the 30th of November - 2nd of December - Camp to Lyrebird Park (more details to come)
• Tuesday the 6th of December - Excursion to ScienceWorks

Grade 6

Dates to Remember:

• Laverton College visiting BHPS: Friday 02 December
• Graduation Ceremony: Wednesday 14 December @ 6:00pm
• Adventure Park end of year celebration: Thursday 15 December

Reminders:

• Compass permission for Laverton P-12 College visit.
