Positive Education at BHPS

Pos-Ed at BHPS

During week 9, our Character Strength focus will be on "Enthusiasm". Known as “Zest” within the VIA classification of character strengths, enthusiasm is an approach to life which is also known as vitality. People who are enthusiastic do everything with excitement and energy. Enthusiasm comes within the Engagement arm of our PERMA model – “I make the most of my learning opportunities”.

In classroom lessons next week, all students at BHPS will be learning about

positive self talk.

Positive self-talk is when you talk to yourself in a positive way, also known as encouraging words or positive mantras. It is important because it helps us to perform at our best even in challenging situations. Children who speak positively about themselves are more likely to believe in themselves. They develop a more positive outlook on life. Even in difficult situations, they learn to look past their mistakes, focus on what they have to offer, and how to do better next time.
