Dear families,

It has been a busy term start to Term 4!

We are looking forward to holding some great social events this term - with the Mini Golf Family Fun Day and Parents Social Night Barefoot Bowls coming up. Book your tickets through CDF Pay.

Planning is also underway for 2023 - let us know if you have any ideas of what you would like to see at the school. 

The next P&F Meeting will be held on Tuesday 18 October from 6.30pm-7.30pm, please come along to have your say and show your support of the P&F.

Review of Events and Fundraising Information

P&F Morning Tea

It was nice to meet up with a couple of parents at the P&F Morning Tea on 

Tuesday, 11th October.  Children were able to keep entertained with activities provided.

School Sock Fundraiser 

Orders from the School Sock Fundraiser were handed out on the first day of Term 4. Thank you to those who supported this fundraiser.

Thank you also to The School Uniform Shop for working with the P&F on this fundraiser. The owners of the Shop are a family in our school community, we appreciate their support.   Please support this business when you can.

Event and Fundraising Information

Mini Golf Family Fun Day - Sunday, 23rd October 2022

We hope to see you at our Mini Golf Family Fun Day on Sunday, 23rd October 2022 from 11.30am - 2.30pm. 

Come along and enjoy a fun day out with your family and school friends on the mini golf course at Riverside Gardens at Emerald Bank Complex. A BBQ lunch will also be available.

Order your BBQ lunch via CDF Pay.  Burgers and sausages are gluten free. Gluten free bread can be supplied on request.  Other dietary requirements can be catered for on request.

Prizes awarded on the day!

Children must be supervised on the day.

Tickets are available via CDFY Pay by 30m on Thursday, 20th October 2022.

World Teachers Day - Friday, 29th October 2022

At St Brendan’s we are lucky to have wonderful teachers supporting our children in their learning and development. 

The P&F want to help our school community celebrate our terrific teachers on World Teachers Day, Friday 29th October 2022.

A flyer will be sent out to students closer to the date encouraging them to fill in a thank you card to thank their teacher or another teacher they love to learn from!

The school also provides the teachers with a special morning tea on this day to celebrate.

Parents Social Night - Friday, 4th November 2022

Save the date for our final Parents Social Night for the year. These nights have been popular and a great way to meet other parents in our school community.

We have organised to have a fun night with a meal and Barefoot Bowls at the Shepparton Golf Bowls Club from 6.30pm -9.30pm.

Full details will be sent out next week including how to purchase your ticket to attend.

End of Year Celebration 

Thursday, 17th November 2022

Save the date for our End of Year Celebration on Thursday, 17th November 2022 from 5.00pm-7.00pm. 

Families are invited to bring their own dinner, picnic blankets and chairs for a relaxed celebration on the school oval to celebrate a great year of learning at St Brendan’s.

This has been planned in November to avoid the busy times in December which can be busy for families with work and family commitments and celebrations.

Further details will be given closer to the date.

Next P&F Meeting

It would be great to see you at our next P&F Meeting next week, on Tuesday, 18th October 2022, from 6.30pm-7.30pm in the Staff Room at school, enter via Reception. 

The evening meetings have been more suitable for most with work commitments during the day.

Please come along to show your support for the P&F.  The P&F can only operate with input from the school community.

We will review events/fundraisers from the year so far and discuss plans for 2023 so we can have most events planned out.

Expressions of interest will be called for Committee Members.  The role of President will also be vacant at the end of 2022 – please contact us to have a chat if you are interested in this role.  Being a part of the Committee isn’t a large time commitment and there are no set requirements of a member.

Register to be a volunteer

If you have a few hours to spare during the year and would like to get involved in the school community please register your interest to be involved as a parent helper through the P&F.

*Volunteer requirements*

Volunteers must hold a current Working With Children’s Check. These details must be supplied to the school office to also be held confidentially.   

WWCC’s are free for volunteers, you can apply through the Working With Children Check Victoria website.

Business interest

Do you own/run a business, or know of a business, that may be interested in being involved in supporting the school community through fundraisers, sponsorship, in-kind support or at events?

Please contact the P&F by email to register your interest.  We are very interested in working with our school community and building connections with family businesses.
