State Championships

Recently, I reported that 22 LHS students represented the school at the Zone Championship at Frankston and that our team of Caleb Thompson, Ben DePedro, Riley Hughes-Gage, Dylan Naylor and Nathan Rogers won the Junior Teams event in convincing fashion.    

All of these students travelled to the State Championships held at Echuca on Monday 5 September.  I am pleased to announce that our team WON the State Teams Championship, a very impressive result.  Congratulations and well done!

Lilydale High School now holds the STATE TEAMS TROPHY until next year, when we are hopeful that we will defend it successfully.          

Eastern Zone Competition

Ben De Pedro (Year 10) has continued to win numerous Open events both in Victoria and Interstate on weekends and would now be recognized as one of Victoria’s top competitive shooters.  

I would like to make a special thank you to Ben who generously donated a large amount of ammunition to our school club for other students to use in practice on Wednesday afternoons.  Thanks again Ben.

At weekend competitions at the club, both Dylan and Riley have either won or been placed in several open events.  Dylan was part of the club team, that won the annual Bill Henwood shield this year.
