Year 12 Photo

Amongst a break in the pouring rain on Friday 7 October, the Year 12's were able to finally gather for their year level photo.

Revision Lectures

Over the past few weeks, all VCE students studying a 3/4 subject were invited to attend revision lectures for their subjects.

They have had a variety of different subject experts and previous high-scoring students come in to go over some tricky areas of content as well as some tips on how best to prepare and approach each exam.

It was great to see so many students utilise these opportunities and walk away feeling more confident going into their exams.

Year 12 Last Day of Classes and Staff vs Year 12 Frisbee Game!

Tuesday October 18, saw lots of smiles as students said farewell to teachers during a delicious pancake breakfast and attended their final classes forever!

Uniforms were decorated and signed and there were plenty of creative takes on the Lilydale uniform, which has seen these students through 6 years of high school.

At lunchtime on the oval, a Staff vs Year 12 students Frisbee match was played.  So MUCH FUN was had between staff and students!

Year 12 Festivities Day

The sun was shining almost as much as our Year 12's smiles during their FESTIVITIES DAY on Wednesday 19 October.

All year levels came out to the oval at recess to watch the different colourful costumes parade through into the Hall, where students danced away to a DJ and celebrated for the next couple of hours.

The photo booths were a hit with students being able to take away a printed memory of the day.

Year 11 Exams

Wednesday 9 Nov to Monday 14 Nov

The Year 11 Exam timetable is now available on the Year 11 Classroom.  If students have a clash with their exams, there is a form to fill out in the Coordinators Office.

Year 11 into 12 Orientation

It is compulsory that all Year 11 students moving into Year 12 next year attend Orientation from, Monday November 21 to Thursday December 1.

This is an opportunity for students to meet their new teachers and the students who will be in their classes.

Furthermore, every subject will start the content for next year, and essential holiday homework will be distributed.

Year 12 Valedictory Dinner

The Year 12 Valedictory Dinner will take place on Thursday December 8 at Crown Palladium.

Inspiring Year 12 students

We have a couple of Senior School students who are currently working on raising money for different charities.

Mackenna Pasinati is edging closer to her goal of raising $1,000 for the mental health organisation Beyond Blue who help those living with anxiety and depression.

If you would like to support Mackenna, you can find her fundraising page here;

Will Spencer is running 100km to raise money for The Black Dog Institute to help them make a ‘mentally healthier world for everyone by managing, treating and preventing common mental health conditions and suicide’.

Will is also very close to his fundraising goal.  If you would like to support Will, you can find his fundraising page here;

Amazing SPORTING performances

Two of our amazing Year 11 students have had some exciting sporting achievements recently.

Maia Watson-Low represented Australia in an international Futsal tournament in Spain and Courtney Scholtz, will be representing Australia in the Trans Tasman Squash series in December.

Well done to both of these students and good luck to Courtney.

Look after yourself

A reminder for students during this time of the year to make sure you are looking after yourselves and are maintaining a good balance between study and social life.  It can be easy to get overwhelmed with everything that is happening, so have things in place that look after your wellbeing including:

  • Eating a healthy, balanced diet
  • Exercising, even just going for a walk outside
  • Mindfulness breathing and/or meditation
  • Staying connected with friends and family

VCE Theatre Studies
