Welcome back to Term 4! It is so wonderful to see all the happy and smiling faces of our amazing students again.

Perhaps you noticed your child’s hands were somewhat blue last week? You could easily be mistaken for thinking that it was a result of the cold and wet weather…did somebody say, “wet day timetable?” Oh dear! But alas! Those blue hands and fingers were not due to our unpleasant weather, rather, the wonderful artwork our students began! Students across the school, have begun planning and creating the foundations for their Writers’ Festival artwork! We have all enjoyed a virtual trip down memory lane, celebrating and being inspired by the writing and artworks of past DPS Writers’ Festivals, and with great excitement, we look forward to joining with the wider school community to celebrate this year’s festival!

Our students used multiple painting styles to create their backgrounds and this week, have begun transitioning their ideas from their minds to their drafts, and for some to their painted backgrounds.

We cannot wait to see the finished results and continue to be incredibly proud of our talented students!
