It’s Springtime!

We are now in the first days of Spring.  In this time of remote learning, it is always good to take a break and go outside to enjoy the changing weather. The Year Prep community focused on Spring in their learning activities this week. Some of the Year 5 and 6 students (Eamon, Auby, Chiza and Kingston) worked with Miss Dullard to use figurative language to write about spring.

Below are some activities that celebrate the season of Spring in different ways.

Literacy

There are many books about the seasons.

  • All Through the Year by Jane Goodwin
  • My Boots in Season by Kerryn Pascoe
  • The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle

As this period of remote learning has been extended, I would like to acknowledge and thank all the students, families and teachers across our school community who are learning and working hard each and every day. It is not an easy time and some days are easier than others, but you are all doing a wonderful job!
