The Year 1/2 students were lucky enough to head out to Jirrahlinga Koala and Wildlife Sanctuary just before the lockdown hit! The students loved walking around the park seeing all the different animals. Students saw koalas, kangaroos, emus, kookaburras, bats, wombats, snakes, lizards and swans. A highlight was when the keepers brought out the baby crocodile and fox for everyone to see! Students asked lots of questions and found out information they could then use in the information reports back at school. It was a great day out had by all the 1/2 students!
Although being in remote learning, that didn't stop our P-2 students dressing up for Book Week! This year the book week theme was, Old worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds. It was great to see so many students dress up on the screens. We had so many different characters, from Where's Wally to Harry Potter. The Principals videos on the Northern Bay Facebook page were a highlight as they shared their favourite stories with the students and their families. If you haven't seen them already, make sure you go check them out!
Once again, we would like to thank you all for your ongoing support throughout this remote learning period. Although it seems that each lock down gets that little bit harder, it's great to see so many students and their families jumping onto their class WebEx each morning and completing their workpacks. All of the activities which were sent home in the students' work packs have now been added to the Seesaw activity library. Students have the option to take a photo of their work and upload it to the Seesaw activity if they have a device at home. Thank you again for all your hard work!
