NAPLAN 2021

In 2022 NAPLAN is moving to online assessment for all schools in Australia. NAPLAN Online delivers numerous benefits including:

• Innovative use of technology, including a more engaging test design and a wider range of test items
• A “tailored test” design that adapts to correct and incorrect student responses providing more precise understanding of student achievement

At ETRS we are making the transition to NAPLAN Online via the conduct of the School Readiness Test (SRT) this year.  We are scheduled to conduct the SRT on Monday September 6th (restrictions permitting) with our current Year 3 and Year 5 students. The SRT is an “omnibus” test which is a combination of the Reading, Language Conventions and Maths tests all in one. Year 5 students will also complete the online writing test. The tests are not graded, they are used to assess whether the IT systems in place at our school can handle the load of multiple students being involved in an online assessment at the same time.
