Lock Down Art

Our science program so far this year has been busy, filled with many different learning experiences that the students have enjoyed.  They have explored Earth and Space Science and Biological Science over semester 1.

All students have been challenged with STEM activities also, experiencing how to think deeply, evaluate, analyse, and collaborate.

The students enjoyed SA Water visiting our school where they were presented information about the importance water, learning of how to use this precious resource wisely.

An excursion was arranged for students as a reward for displaying positive learning attitudes during science lessons, where they were taken to the University of South Australia in Mawson Lakes and visited The Adelaide Planetarium, where they were exposed to the wonders of our universe.

During Biological Science Lessons Rooms 2, 3 and 12 were exposed to learning about life cycles and classifications of living organisms, where they were involved in group activities to sort and order certain tasks to deepen their knowledge further.

The year so far has been exciting and the student’s engagement will continue throughout the rest of the school year as it has already. In Term 3 our school will be presenting another Science Fair during our Science week celebration where we will have our upper primary students involved show casing their skills and knowledge. I am hoping to have our school community attend the science fair this year, please stay tuned.
