Hi Everyone,
I do hope that you are finding ways to deal with this extended lockdown. I would like to thank the students and staff for participating in the Mount Erin Boarding Check-In programme. I know a lot of effort has gone into keeping the connection going even though we are apart. It is good to see that both Colleges as well have put in place, programmes both academic and pastoral.
The lockdown for Mount Erin has meant that students have clothing, bedding and personal items still in their rooms. We are hopeful that in Week 10, restrictions will be eased - most likely to level 3 which will allow Boarding students to at least return to gather belongings if not also attend face to face classes and a return to some sense of normalcy.
Mount Erin's Online Tutoring programme partner, A Team Tutoring has reported good participation by our Year 7-9 Boarders. We continue to encourage our Year 10 - 12 students to also engage with the tutors who are very keen to assist with their academic needs. Please see links below:

Year 12 Boarder Graduation
The Year 12 Boarder Graduation Liturgy and Presentation has been moved as a direct result of the current Covid-19 Lockdown in New South Wales. It is hoped that we can celebrate this important milestone in our Year 12's boarding life during the last week of Term on Wednesday 15 September. The evening will begin at 5.30pm for 6.00pm dinner and will be held at Mount Erin in Meeting Space 2. The event will see the Year 12 Boarders acknowledged and farewelled by Boarding staff, Mater Dei and Kildare Principals and Executive staff members. Parents can participate via the online Zoom screening - a link will be shared with families prior to the event. A copy of the event will be made available to parents/ families.
Confirmation/ update of the Boarding Graduation will be communicated during week 9.
Finally for this edition, we wish all of our Dads a Happy Fathers Day.
