Resource Centre

In the last issue of the College Newsletter I highlighted the ACEN Member Collection and the process of accessing this wonderful digital resource of fiction and non-fiction books, in both audio and print formats, to facilitate your reading for pleasure as well as providing for your learning across all subjects.

This week we have been notified by Karen Gardiner (CEDWW) that a new collection of resources has been added to the collection, called the HSC English Collection. This collection is designed to meet the challenges faced by students in NSW dioceses who are working from home and may not be able to access texts on the HSC reading list as the books are at school.

The ACEN Member Collection has increased the number of titles/copies collection of HSC texts to the consortium's collection of digital books to enable students who may not be able to access texts due to lockdown or remote location. Copies have increased but are still limited.

There are numerous collections in the ACEN collection including:

  • HSC English Collection
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Collection
  • Primary Easy Reads
  • Professional Reading
  • NSW Premier's Reading Challenge
