On 8th May the Year 10 History students will be travelling to Melbourne for an excursion to the Jewish Museum and Holocaust Centre. This trip has been largely subsidised by the Gandel Foundation and the Jewish Museum/Holocaust Centre to assist in the promotion of Holocaust education in schools. We are very thankful to them for the opportunity to allow the students this experience at such a low monetary cost.
I have had very little indication to this point if anyone wants to be collected in Dunkeld or Glenthompson (etc) along the way, so if this applies, please email me as soon as possible so I can be sure of our collection points and numbers. (jogle@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au)
We will depart from Chaucer St at 5.45am – please be on time (slightly early) and a pillow and a snooze might be a great option on the way down. Return time is approximately 8.30pm. I will ask students to message parents if we are running ahead of time. For out of town students, it might be worth staying with a friend the night before to assist with travel arrangements for the early start.
Students will receive a complimentary lunch at the museum (vegetarian), but will NEED MONEY for a dinner stop on the way home.
An emergency contact number is listed on the form on Care Monkey if required.
