HeadStart Student Induction Day

Greensborough College HeadStart students; Tyler Slade, Connor Fullelove, Callum Downes and Trinity Voisey  joined other statewide Apprentices & Trainees for the first HeadStart Induction Day at the Melbourne Aquarium on Tuesday 19 November.

Speakers included The Young Workers Centre, Bendigo Bank, Australian Financial Security Authority, Apprenticeships Matter and the YMCA. Students learned about their rights at work, finances and well-being.

They workshopped responses to dilemmas and difficult conversations in the workplace and heard from employers and employees about their career paths. It was a jam-packed, long day but the information presented was relevant to our HeadStart students as they commence their Apprenticeships and Traineeships while completing their senior secondary education.
