Women's Hockey

DIVISION ONE

The College Strikes and Thundersticks faced off again in their fourth contest of the season. Strikers were without stars Hannah and Chloe Russell, Erin Powell and Abby Hayes so this was always going to be a big ask for the young team. Thundersticks took control of the game early and were able to convert four first half goals. Captain Emily Johnston was in full control up forward and she was well supported by Claudia Roberts and Phoebe Sweeney. Mrs Williams, Ruby Cush and Chloe Anderson battled very hard for the Strikers and were kept very busy in defence. Isabelle Musson and Maddi Mutch created scoring opportunities for the Strikers but could not get through the strong defensive line of Hannah Nichols and Skye McIntosh.  All going well, the two College A Grade sides should finish in 1st and 2nd place at the end of the home and away season.

College Gold

College Gold came away with a win against College Blue, the score was 4-2. Our defence was strong despite strong attacking play from College Blue, with Marcus Munro playing superbly in goals and our back line played well. Reagan Simons and Dougal Sweeney scored two goals each, and dominated during the game. Will Merrin and Jack Austin combined well on wing, and Zac Cunningham played well with Jock Adamson on the forward line. Well done to the entire team.
