Year 9
Reflection
Term 4 has passed quickly in Year 9 with plenty of things to keep the students busy. The early part of Term 4 was spent finalising subject selections for Year 10 and possibly beyond.
Leadership applications were called for and it was pleasing that a large number of students took the time to put their name forward. At this stage, all Year 9 students and the staff cast their votes and we were left with the 6 young men who would fill official leadership roles. With the help of Mr Pooley, these students then voted for the positions of School Captain/Vice Captain and House Leaders. After a close vote, it was decided that Lewis Desmond and Josh Dudley would serve as joint School Captains in 2020. The following students will be House Leaders in 2020: George Aliss, Adrian Dolgov, Timothy Mallidis and Jonothan Ravipati.
In Term 4, studentshave collected money for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. Thank you to those students and their families who supported this great cause. The latter part of the term has seen the Year 9s preparing for exams. I hope that their exam results are an accurate reflection of their efforts this semester. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Year 9s and their families a safe and holy Christmas and New Year period. All the best for 2020.
