Following on from the success of the 2017 and 2018 ILLA Programs, Australia Awards Indonesia (AAI) in partnership with Asia Education Foundation (AEF) offered the Indonesian Language Ambassadors (ILLA) Program in Term 4, 2019.

ILLA aims to connect participating schools with AAI awardees currently studying in Australia who are keen to experience teaching in an Australian classroom. St James’ Ambassador Arya is studying his Masters in Data Science at Monash University.

He assisted the year 9 students in creating videos for a competition based on the topic of ‘My Life’. Arya also assisted in Year 7 classes with their work on body parts and clothing.

We loved connecting with a native Indonesian speaker and wish Arya all the best in his studies.
