Somersby Falls Photography

Year 11 Photography visited Somersby Falls early in the morning of Wednesday 6 November with Kasey Kinder, Rachel Meredith-King & Keira Henehan. Students are working on taking photos in Manual Mode using a slow Shutter Speed, small Aperture and low ISO. These images were taken as Camera RAW files which we will edit in coming weeks. Fabulous work!

 

Grip Leadership Day

Year 10 students attended the GRIP Leadership Day at Newcastle Town Hall on Tuesday 5 November.

"The GRIP Student Leadership Conference is unique in that it concentrates specifically on training student leaders for their role as SCHOOL LEADERS. The style, topics, and content of this conference all focus on what the students can do RIGHT NOW."

World Teacher's Day

On Monday 28 October the Central Coast recognised the contribution of teachers and the teaching profession at a dinner to celebrate World Teacher's Day 2019. At this event at Mingara Recreation Club, two of Henry Kendall High School's teachers, Tegan Perkins and Paul McNally were celebrated for their wonderful and talented contribution to our school. Congratulations to you both!

Central Coast Mariners School Cup

On Wednesday 6 November, our boys soccer team then on Thursday 7 November our girls soccer team headed down to Pluim Park, Lisarow to The Central Coast Mariners School Cup. This year saw the competition expand to male and female teams across high schools on the Central Coast.

The Years 7 and 8 boys team got to meet some of their Mariners heroes!

Year 10 Drama

Clowning and fairy tales make a great performance combination for Year 10 Drama at Gosford Public School on Friday 1 November. Very well done to all involved....

Halloween Trivia

A Halloween Trivia event was held in the library on Wednesday 30 October. Seven teams competed against each other, pitting knowledge of all things spooky across four rounds of trivia.Results were close between four teams but the team, Evil Dead, came out on top with a massive 36 out of 40 points. Each member of the team received a treat bag with some Halloween candy and best of all a book to keep. Congratulations to the winning team - Charlotte, Erin, Hailey and Oscar.
