Deputy Principal's Report

Didgeridoo Group

Again this Term we have had a wonderful time enjoying the diversity of activities at our school. In particular I would like to acknowledge the proud Didgeridoo Group; Jack Simmons, Izayah Groat, Cayden Simmons, Jonathan Koszek, Richard Newling and Jordan Sibley, whom I accompanied to Mingara on Wednesday 23 October. The group performed to complement a moving Acknowledgement of Country given by Sarah Leggett, before the opening of the Head Teachers Conference 2019.

$20 Boss

Year 7 are busy organising their big $20 Boss stalls, products and activities, we all looking forward to a fun day!

The Life Ready Camp

Year 11 have participated in a series of events in preparation for the commencement of their Year 12 studies. A large part of their readiness program was their attendance at The Life Ready Camp, the camp was a lot of fun and the organising teacher complemented our students as the best behaved school they have had at their camp. One of the most significant moments at camp was viewing the amazing archery skills of our students. Here is a little snap shot of the bulls eye archers, minus Mr Wright’s fantastic aim as he removed his arrow with lightning speed.

HSC Information Evening

Year 11 have also attended the HSC Information Evening on Tuesday 29 October. During this information evening all NESA requirements were presented and discussed with a clear assessment focus that ensures all students are aware of their responsibilities. A reminder to all Year 11 students that they must return their compulsory note of acknowledgement.

Year 11 Reports

Report Reminder: Year 11 Reports will be released next week and they will be accessible online. All years will still receive a hard copy of their reports in 2019.

School Uniform Reminder

School Uniform Reminder- Henry Kendall High School has a strong reputation in the community and this reputation focuses on our school pride. Wearing the correct uniform is an important part of our personal and universal acceptance of our place in the school and community. The Senior Executive will be meeting students at the school gate at regular intervals and it is expected that all students will present themselves in full school uniform. Detentions will be given to students who do not have a note for being out of uniform.
