Boutique Schools Network
As a part of the Knox Network of Schools we are one of 6 schools that is a member of what is called the Boutique Schools Network. This network is made up of 6 small schools with enrolments under 150 students with the smallest having around 60 students and the largest 158 students. We are certainly not the smallest school in the area. The network came about as a way for small schools to share resources and support each other with teaching and learning through teacher and leader meetings.
For next year we were fortunate enough to become a part of the School Improvements partnerships.
The School Improvement Partnerships Program provides support for schools to work together to improve student learning outcomes. Differentiated support for school improvement comprises four initiatives tailored to school need. This opportunity supports us with resources to work together as a Boutique Schools Network with a praticular focus on improving student outcomes in Numeracy. The resources will support us to provide professional learning and time for teachers to collaborate.
This is a great intiative that will support our schools, teachers and students.
2020
We have started planning for 2020. This week students will write down some friends that they wish to be with next year. We always guarantee that students will be with at least one friend that they have selected. We take into account the make up of a class including academic and social needs of all students. Even though we are a small school we take great care when organising our classes to ensure that all students will be catered for.
Have a great week everyone.
