OUR FAITH

PRAYER

Lord,

In this year of youth be with young people as they strive to do your work. Guide them to follow Jesus’ example of compassion and mercy. Help the youth to reach out to those in need in our schools, families and in our global communities. Lead young people to peaceful solutions in conflict, to forgive and to make choices that reflect your love. May your Church continue to share the joy of your Gospel with all people.  Amen.

Our Lady of the Southern Cross, Help of Christians, pray for us.

St Mary of the Cross Mackillop, friend of the young, pray for us.

We pray ...

for all students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation; for the youth of our world

FAMILY MASS

Our next Family Mass will be held this Sunday 9th September at 9.30am at St Nicholas Church. Everyone is invited to attend! (Year 1 and Year 5 will be hosting).

YEAR OF YOUTH CROSS

On Monday our school received The Year of Youth Cross from St Edward's School. The cross has been travelling around our Diocese as a focus for prayer, discussion and reflection. The cross was made by Frank Patricks a teacher at McCarthy Catholic College. It is an outstanding piece of craftsmanship and has generated a lot of discussion and prayer. The cross itself lights up and many symbols from our local flora and fauna are evident.  All classes have had the opportunity to spend time with the cross.

INFANTS' LITURGY

On Wednesday, 26th September there will be an Infants' Liturgy at St Nicholas Church beginning at 9.30 am. We invite all of our parents, families and friends to attend.

FATHERS' DAY BREAKFAST

A very big thank you to our School Advisory Board, Mr V, Mr Clery and Mr West for the great barbeque breakfast last Friday for our Fathers' Day celebrations.  It was wonderful to have many of our special men in the grounds to relax, have a snag and mingle with the students.
