What a Year of Sport

Mordialloc College has a longstanding tradition of Teachers VS. Year 12’s sporting events and in 2017 we had more entertaining, exhilarating games of netball, futsal and volleyball. First came netball; with the teachers having a great attempt, they were not cut out for the excellence of the Year 12 netball team, led by female sports captain Serena. The win was outstanding and gave the students an abundance of hope for the rest of the events of 2017. However, in term 4, the students came to a halt during the futsal game which was led by long-time soccer player and male sports captain, Declan. The teachers won the game, scoring a goal in the last 30 seconds of the match, the defeat was bitter and unwelcomed by the Year 12 team. Thankfully for the students, the Year 12 volleyball team got the redemption they so ferociously wanted, led by the sports captains Serena and Declan once again. 2017 was a successful one for the Year 12’s, winning the battle 2-to-1. We hope that next year the students continue to hold the legacy.

We also want to wish the best of luck to all Year 11 and 12 students who are about to undergo their Unit 3 and 4 exams – best wishes for everyone’s future endeavours.
