Advance Grampians Camp

Yr 10 Advance Grampians Camp
On 18 October the Yr 10 Advance students went to the Grampians as their last camp as Advance students. We got the school bus with our crazy driver Mr Evans. The drive was about 4 hours so by the time we got there it was after lunch and we set up camp and went on our first hike. The hike went for a good 3 hours including driving to the start. The drive is the best part because Mr Evans driving is crazy! Well not that crazy, we drove on a dirt road. After the first hike people were worrying about the rain because they didn't want their tents to get wet over night. We made dinner and went to bed. The rain poured all night and some tents, sleeping bags and pillows got drenched so those boys were up at 4:30 am. The next day we went on the biggest hike of the camp. It went nearly all day with steep mountains and lots of rocks. Each night after dinner it is tradition to play 40-40 so we did that. On the last morning we had to pack up and leave around 9:30am. We got back to school after another crazy bus driving trip and a stop at Maccas. We got back to the College at 2:30pm and left early. Overall everyone liked all the camps we got to do as Advance students and we all had fun in Advance.
