ACER Language Competence Tests (Listening and Reading Comprehension Tests - Year 9-12)
The ACER Competition took place during one of the French lessons in Term 3. Students had to complete a set of Listening questions, a set of Reading Comprehension questions on the ACER website for this test. Students were awarded a grade based on their individual achievement following this scheme for each section: Participation, Credit, Distinction and High Distinction.
Year 9-10 levels are assessed at Certificate 1 Level; Year 11 at Certificate 2 Level and Y12 at Certificate 3 Level.

VCE French Final Oral Exams
Natalie: “After years of nerves over this exam I was relieved at how prepared I felt and overall I think it went alright! Huge thanks to Miss Peerbux and my classmates"
Elena: “On Monday 16 October, our small French class made the stress-ridden hour and a half journey on public transport to Box Hill. Although Ms Peerbux kindly treated us to lunch, it was completely nerve-racking sitting for an hour across the road in a Café from the exam rooms. We were one of the last groups of the day and at 3.40 pm, it was finally our turn. Even though I was very nervous, I felt prepared because of all the effort Ms Peerbux put into helping us, for which I am so grateful. Honestly, the 15 minutes flew by and I was able to talk about my family, school life, extra-curricular activities and upcoming plans with the examiners who were lovely. Now that the oral is over, I am even more thankful I chose to do VCE French.”
