School production

The Addams Family  is our school production in 2020! 

It is a musical comedy that includes all of the characters you might know from the TV show and movies (Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday, Pugsley, Grandma, Lurch, Uncle Fester) but  features an original story.

There will be five performances from 19 to 22 August. 

We will be sharing the journey of our bi-annual production from auditions and first rehearsals to performances in term 3. Tickets go on sale later in the year.  

It starts with auditions

There was a fantastic attendance of the information session about the show, the audition process and how to be part of the backstage crews.  It's a great start for our production. 

Students interested in working on choreography, directing, make up, lighting, sound, set, costumes, specialist dancers and dance captains are asked to register with some information about themselves. 

Learn the audition song and choreography: There is an opportunity to learn audition choreography and song on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 February at 1.15pm in the lecture theatre.

Group auditions: Students auditioning as leads or for the ensemble then attend a group audition on Thursday 13 February, after school from 3.30pm to 5pm. 

Lead auditions:  Students need to sign up on the google form and will be allocated an audition slot via email. They will be at these times. 

Monday 17 February 3.30-5pm

Tuesday 18 February 1.15-1.45pm (not percussion ensemble students)

Wednesday 19 February 1.15 - 1.45pm (not choir students)

Wednesday 19 February 3.30-5pm

Thursday 20 February 1.15-1.45pm

Thursday 20 February 3.30-5pm (not symphonic students)

Cast list advised on 24 February with rehearsals starting late in term  1. 

All this information plus the link to the google form for registration is included on a Newsfeed to all students. 

There will be lots more to share about our fun, funny and fabulous all school production. We can't wait.
