Space Camp 2019

In December a group of MGSC students, accompanied by myself, Diana Gilbert, attended the 2019 Alliance of Girls’ Schools Australasia Space Camp in the US.

At NASA, a highlight was meeting and hearing from Nicole Stott, a retired astronaut and aquanaut, and artist. This week Nicole was part of an ad which promoted woman in science that played to 99.9 million(!) TV viewers at Superbowl.  You can see this inspiring and fun ad on You Tube.

There are many opportunities for our students to be excited about working in STEAM and space - be it Space law – who owns the moon, who can put rockets into Space, how to live on Mars or as aerospace engineers or astronauts). Everyone at NASA is convinced we will be on Mars within five years.

Our Space Campers will share more of their amazing experiences in future newsletters.
