100 Days of School Celebration (Prep)

On Wednesday 31 July we had a very special day - it was ‘100 Days of Prep’! In the morning our teachers came out with a bunch of green, blue, red and yellow balloons - the colours of our classrooms. Lots of parents came to Prep line up and did three cheers for us. When we went inside there was a giant, silver 100 balloon and a surprise on our table. We all bought 100 things from home to count and made a 100 placemat. There were lots of different things like counters, straws, plastic insects, stickers, Lego and gumnuts.

When we finished our placemats, we all went outside to the grassy mounds with our bubble wands - it was so much fun! We wore our special crowns our buddies helped us make and decorate on Friday. We also played some number games - rolling the dice with a partner to 100. After our games we set up our classrooms for our 100 Day party. We had lots of yummy things to eat and all sat outside in the sun with our friends.

Our Year Five buddies came over at the end of the day and made a special ‘Guard of Honour’ for us to walk out through. Lots of parents came to watch and take photos…it was the best day ever!!!

It was a very exciting (and exhausting!) day for the Preps and the Prep teachers!

Rainbow Fish!

The Preps have made ‘Rainbow Fish’ to tie in with an activity in their Resilience Project books. They have been discussing what it means to be a good friend, sharing and caring for one another.
