Volunteer Interview

Bec Levant-Feldman

Why do you volunteer at BNPS?

I volunteer at BNPS because I like to get a little peek into my kids' school day, meet other parents and just generally be involved in their education. I also think it's good for our kids to see us helping out and giving back to the wider community. Plus, it gives me "the warm, fuzzies”!

What year level are your children in?

My youngest son Archie is in 2A, Jaime is in 6A and my daughter Luci completed Year 6 in 2016, so this will be my 10th year at BNPS, Yikes!!

What roles have you volunteered for during your time at BNPS?

Over the years, I've volunteered at the Canteen, the Uniform Shop, Literacy Programs, Mother's Day and Father's Day stalls, costume making for School Concerts and numerous Fetes.

What is your background/current role (outside of BNPS!)?

My background is in the arts, I worked for many years  as a sculptor for a props and models company and more recently I’ve discovered a passion for painting and as the kids are getting older, I'm dedicating more and more time to that.

What’s the best thing about BNPS?

The best thing about BNPS for me is the community, the dedicated teachers and staff and the awesome Art Program.
