Year 10 Road Smart

All students in Year 10 will be participating in the presentation by VIC ROADS on Tuesday 6th August. The sessions will run during P 3/4 in C4 and J9. Students will be directed to their set rooms. Online consent forms should be completed prior to the presentations this will enable students to access eLearning and a free in-car session. Parent consent forms are found at: www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/roadsmartconsent  

Year 11 2020 Subject Selection Process

Students in Year 10 are currently starting the subject selection process for next year. Several information sessions were offered last week to parents/students at both Wanganui Park Secondary College campus and McGuire College. Both campuses will be running Year 11 subjects next year and are available to our students. An additional information session for parents at Mooroopna Secondary College is currently being organised. Students will be informed early next week.

Students will be presented with their individual subject selection pack next week. This will contain the ‘Senior Students Pathways Guide 2020’, some pathway options, pamphlets to assist you with the selections etc. Our Course Counselling Day will take place on Wednesday 21st August. All Year 10 students will be required to attend a meeting with a parent. No classes will run at school on that day. Sessions will be available from 10.00 am – 6.30 pm, bookings will be available through Compass from Wednesday next week.

Year 11 students will receive their Pathway Package during Week 5. Individual interviews can be arranged with either Mrs O’Bree or Ms Bentley to discuss subject choices.

SCHOOL TRANSITION VISITS

To assist students to make a decision regarding which campus of the ‘Greater Shepparton College’ (interim name) meets their needs, we will be running introductory tours over the next two weeks.

Year 10 students will be travelling as a group to McGuire College on Tuesday 13th August and Wanganui campus on Thursday 15th August.

Year 11 students will travel in Week 6 - Tuesday 20th and Thursday 22nd August.

 Permission forms and further information regarding times will be issued to students next week. All students are expected to attend.
