Career News
There has been a lot happening around careers over the past weeks.
Early in the term, Year 9 students completed their individualised Morrisby testing. This testing, offered by the Career Education Association of Victoria, https://www.ceav.vic.edu.au/
provides a measure of students’ innate and natural strengths thereby assisting them to make decisions regarding subject selection, vocational education, further study and training.
On May 2, Year 11 students attended the VCE and Careers Expo to gain information regarding career and study advice, international exchange and gap year programs, university, TAFE and training courses and resources for the VCE. The feedback from this event was positive from both teachers and students.
Year 10 students are organising their work experience placements. Students who have already completed this opportunity have found the hands-on experience they gain to be one of a kind!
In the coming weeks, some students will attend the Trade Pathways CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse adolescents) Youth Careers Forum at Holmesglen TAFE Waverley Campus.
