Bounce into Metal Health Carnival

Tuesday April 24th saw Ringwood Secondary College celebrate the annual Bounce into Mental Health Carnival with the overarching theme of “Ringwood Rock’s Respect”.

Students and staff were encouraged to dress as someone they respect  or represented an occupation they respect.  There was a great  range of costumes and colours.

To support a local homelessness service students were encouraged to bring/donate any non-perishable food or toiletries items which will then be collected and presented to Wesley Mission.

A range of local support services attended on the day to share information and promote services and there was also a range of stall holders.

Please see the photos and report on the following page.

Students were able  join in on numerous fun activities including mural decoration, henna, inflatables, sumo suits, chalk drawing, blend their own smoothies, bungee run, stunt jump, gladiator duel or the big splash bucket.

Ringwood Rock’s Respect Day is all about encouraging positive mental health & wellbeing and ensuring all members of our school community respect and support one another every day.

UR Retreat for Young Women

The UR Retreat for Young Women is an incredible retreat experience that has been running for over 11 years, and we are so excited to offer you the opportunity for your students to be involved this year.

The 12th Annual UR Retreat will incorporate inspirational guest speakers, educational workshops and exciting activities that inspire, educate and empower young women to be all that they can be.

Ringwood Secondary College can  nominate 4-5 young women  to participate in this life changing retreat experience. The UR Retreat is designed for young women aged 13-15 who might be struggling with challenges such as self-esteem, negative body image, mental health and wellbeing and social isolation or might be disengaged from educational pathways.

Please find enclosed our ‘save the date’ invitation. I would love to invite you to save the date and begin to consider who you think would greatly benefit from this experience.  If you would like further information in the meantime feel free to visit our website www.bridgebuilders.com.au
