ANZAC DAY 2018

A REAL HONOUR - ANZAC DAY
Thank you to all students and their supportive families who have volunteered to participate in the Mildura War Graves remembrance service on ANZAC Day, April 25 2018.
It is a great honour to be offered the opportunity to be part of this very important commemoration of the lives that were lost during World War II in the Sunraysia area.
Those who lost their lives are remembered in a beautifully presented War Graves section of the Mildura Cemetery at Nichols Point. Those students who have indicated to Dr Finn that they are attending and require transport need to be at the Twelfth Street entrance to St Joseph’s College by 7.45am for a 7.50am departure to the cemetery.
We thank the families of all students who have indicated that they will transport students to the event. The graves are accessed by turning from Cureton Avenue at the Nichols Point Scout Hall, following the War Graves signage. There is further signage near the cemetery to direct those attending. Students are reminded that they are to be in full winter uniform, including blazers. If there is an issue with a student having a blazer please notify Dr Finn before Monday and he will endeavour to arrange one for the event.
Again, we thank all concerned for supporting the RSL in this most important event, as it is the first time that this service has been open to the public.
Any questions can be forwarded to Dr Tony Finn tfinn@sjcmda.vic.edu.au.
