NO REST FOR YEAR 10 STUDENTS IN THE HOLIDAYS

FIRST AID TRAINING
Over 70 Year 10 students achieved their level II First Aid certificate during the second week of the school holidays. Congratulations with your commitment to gain the relevant skills and knowledge to preserving life.

YOUTH ANZAAS 2018 ORMOND COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE
Youth ANZAAS is an annual residential international forum for science students in Years 10 to 12. Every year, students from each State and Territory are selected to participate in science activities and experiences over a period of a week.

CAMPUS TOURS AT MONASH UNI
Monash Univeristy will be opening its doors to prospective students this winter break. If you are interested in Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences check out the Winter and Spring Break Campus Tours.
They will get the opportunity to tour our advanced clinical facilities, comfortable study spaces and take a peek at everything else Monash University’s largest research faculty has to offer.
Each tour begins at 11am on the following dates: Monday 2 July (Clayton), Thursday 10 July (Peninsula), Tuesday 25 September (Clayton) and Thursday 27 September (Peninsula)

MONASH UNIVERSITY REVISION SEMINARS: PSYCHOLOGY AND HEALTH AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
Monash University will be running revision seminars for students studying Units 3 and 4 VCE Psychology and Health & Human Development.

UNDERGRADUATE MEDICAL ADMISSIONS TEST - PRACTICE COURSE
Any Year 10 to12 student wishing to apply for Medicine or Dentistry post Year 12 should consider participating in the UMAT practice day workshops here at the college Saturday May 12 and Sunday May 13.
Please see Ms. Bell in careers for application forms and costs. This event is not part of the college curriculum, and is coordinated by the Sunraysia Careers Network.

EXPERIENCE OUTDOOR AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION - SPRING PROGRAM
Love the outdoors? Join us for the experience of a lifetime!
Experience what it's like to be an Outdoor and Environmental Education student at La Trobe University through our September School Holiday Programme.
This 5-day programme is available to current Years 10, 11 or 12 students. Experience the outdoors and natural environments by choosing either climbing and bushwalking or paddling and bushwalking over several days and nights.
Meet current university students and other secondary students from regional Victoria. You can select from two camps: either canoeing on the Murray River or, bushwalking and climbing at Kooyoora State Park.
The programme runs for 5 days in the school holidays September 24 - 28. The cost per student is $100 and includes food and most equipment. The trips will begin and end in Bendigo at La Trobe University campus.
