Instrumental Music Showcase Concert

During Term 3 our instrumental music ensembles have been involved in many performances including the Wagga and Albury Eisteddfods. On Tuesday evening, the 24th September, these groups presented these performances to a large and enthusiastic audience of parents and supporters in the college hall.
The performance kicked off with our Year 9 band, 3 Tall 2 Small, who played two songs, Green Onions and Chameleon. These performances featured excellent improvised solos from Jakob Brown, Ben Timms and Edward Trevaskis. Next up was the KCC Chamber Ensemble who presented four short works. The Chamber Ensemble has expanded massively this year and is playing with wonderful intonation and ensemble skills. The concert then saw the debut of our two Year 7 bands. These students have been working together since the start of term 2 and despite some nerves played really well.
Rock Band 2023 continued the concert with the two songs which they received many awards for at the eisteddfods - Come as You Are and Under Pressure, which featured the great vocals of Harry Ceeney, Tyronne Vatubuli and Connor Gregurke, and the one and only Jackson Casley on drums. The KCC Wind Ensemble then concluded the concert with The Avengers and Shut Up and Dance.
Well done to all of the performers (almost 70 of them!) for all of your efforts this term.
