7-8 Southern NSW Rugby 7's Championships

The Kildare Year 7 and 8 seven a side rugby team recently travelled to Canberra for the Southern NSW Rugby finals which takes in the zones of Sothern Inland, Monaro, ACT and the South Coast. We played pool games against St Edmunds College who beat us 29 to 26. It was then sudden death for us against Monaro High School who we defeated 19 to 5. This progressed us to the semi finals where we beat Mulwaree High school from Goulburn 29 to 12. This allowed a rematch against the very strong St Edmunds College Canberra in the Grand Final. The scores were locked at nil all at half time but a very strong second half performance saw Kildare crowned champions for 2019 12 to 0.

A great all round effort to all involved and thanks to all the parents who have supported this team along the way.

Also to Brad Ashcroft, Daniel Robinson and Alistair Waite for their help with the team.
