Year Four
Wow! What an amazing term it has been. I loved everything; Maths, Inquiry, Reading and Writing. I don’t where to start. Well, let’s start at Maths.
Well Maths has been wonderful this term. We did mental addition and working out addition in our books. The games were most fun especially the rounding we had to round to the nearest ten, we also did number sequencing which means we got to use MAB and writing number patterns. That was what we did in Maths this term.
In Inquiry, we have been testing different properties of materials. We also did a lot of unbelievable experiments. First, we did an experiment with baby oil and steel wool. We were trying to make them attract to the magnet. It was fun!
Next, we made slime, we mixed glue and a borax solution together. It was really fun, everybody thought it was the best experiment ever. We are all looking forward to more experiments during the semester!

This was the best term ever, it was really fun! In inquiry we made SLIME, it was really fun even though my slime wasn’t that good it was still awesome. We have also made a windmill out of paper, hard paper and glue.
In maths we went to the sandpit and we were talking about volume and capacity. We had to count how many plastic cups full of sand goes into a bucket (that’s what I chose), I think it took about 45 cups of sand.
This term has really been amazing and I hope next time it is like this as well.

What an amazing term we have had! All the students have had fun doing unbelievably cool tasks and experiments, like in Inquiry. Inquiry had to be the favourite, because we got to do experiments like making slime and later on answering questions and making observations. I’m sure everybody agrees we have had a great term.
