Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow

Nevermoor – The Trials of Morrigan Crow is a story written by Australian author Jessica Townsend, about the magical adventures of Morrigan Crow. Much like Harry Potter she finds out about her magical talents and is taken up into the magical world.  Other readers say it’s a mixture between Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and Alice in Wonderland! 

Before being invited to compete in a deadly four stage competition to join the Wundrous Society, she was seen as a misfortune.  Born on an unlucky day, she was blamed for the causes of heart attacks, hailstorms and death.  Morrigan Crow doesn’t believe that she really is magical, and has to find a way to make it through the competition… fast.
