Reflections of 2017

Reflections of 2017
We asked Year 7 students to reflect back on their first year at Mount Eliza Secondary College and here are some of their responses... along with a few inspiring quotes.
‘Year 7 was good and the teachers were helpful.’
‘This year was very fun and a lot harder than expected.’
‘Year 7 was like a staircase. Some things you kept trying and got that little bit higher, and stayed there for a while. Somethings you reached the top without a worry. Eventually, you reach the top in all aspects; friendship, new skills, and all the subjects. Year seven in my view has been great with new friendships and a great set up for the next year.”
‘Not as I expected. Very different from primary school.’
‘The first year of high school was better than I thought.’
‘There was a lot more work than I thought, but I had a quality time.’
‘Way more new friends were made than was expected which was really good!’
‘I got to become friendly with everyone. Very different work load and easy to get used to.’
‘School was good, new memories, new friends. Much better than primary school. I rate 9/10, and would do it again.’
‘Year 7 was great, the teachers are so nice!’
‘Year 7 was good because the teachers helped us learn.’
‘Okay, definitely different to primary school.’
‘The years been fine.’
‘School was good and fun, except our class is very loud and sometimes it was very hard to concentrate and work, but sometimes I am making the noise!’
"We are all a little broken but the last time I checked broken crayons still colour the same!"

"Don’t let others make your decisions for you."
"I have learnt it’s this time in our life in which we need to make friends, have fun and create memories. You only live once."
"Let your smile change the world."
"Sisters before misters!"
"It’s up to you to make the impossible possible."
"Create the life you thinks you deserve."
"Live, don’t just exist."
"Stick up for your self because no girl needs the knight in shining armour."
"Life’s a climb but the view is great."
"You don’t get a rainbow without a little rain."
"Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction can end up being the most important step in your life. Tip toe if you must, but take the step."
