From the Director of Primary

What a Term!

As we all look forward to a two week break it is so rewarding when we can reflect on the wonderful term that has been enjoyed by the students, staff, parents and carers.  It is amazing to consider all that has been achieved over the course of the past ten weeks.

The Primary students have been involved in so many rich learning opportunities both within and outside the classroom.   In fact, I always wonder how we simply manage to achieve so much within a 10-week block.  Highlights from the term include:

  • Primary Swimming & Inter-school Swimming Carnivals
  • da Vinci Challenge for Years 5 and 6
  • Year 5 camp to Port Arthur
  • Year 3 excursion to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary
  • Years 3 to 10 Athletics Carnival
  • Kilometres for Compassion Walkathon
  • Making Jesus Real Programs
  • Prep excursion on the Double Decker Bus
  • Kinder excursion to the Mount Nelson Sustainability Centre
  • TSO Concert for Years 3, 4 and 6
  • Holy Week Liturgies

It is a privilege to witness so many personal achievements and outstanding performances.  Thank you to the students, teachers, teacher assistants and families for making Term 1 so memorable.  I encourage all of the students to enjoy a rejuvenating break and look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday, April 30.

On behalf of my colleagues, I wish all families a happy and Holy Easter, filled with the joy of the Resurrection.

Easter Blessing

May the loving power of God,

which raised Jesus to new life,

strengthen you in hope,

enrich you with his love,

and fill you with joy in the faith;

and the blessing …
