Music Festival: The Finale

With a heavy but full heart, we say goodbye to the strong tradition of Music Festival. For over 40 years, it has provided PCW students with a creative outlet, combined with friendly but passionate competition. This was evident when rehearsing with the Past Captains' Choir, where captains of old and new bonded over their house and politics of their particular festival. This year's Music Captains were exceptional leaders and displayed a willingness and an ability to respond to the changing nature of the school this year.
The standard of performances was exceptional and the buzz backstage will be something I remember for a very long time. The venue provided the perfect fit for us this year and allowed for more intimacy in the performances. The ability of Music Fest to capture such a high percentage of student involvement is something that is very unique to this college and will live on in memories for a long time.
Performing Arts are a gift all round: for the audience and for the performers who get to share their work with the world. I hope all students keep their passion for the performing arts, and if Music Festival is their only experience, they will have some exceptional memories and experiences.
