Level 4

What's news in Level 4

On the 5th of February the Level 4’s celebrated eSmart day. We explored a variety of different fun and hands on activities which are designed to teach the students the dangers of talking to strangers online, the ways in which bullying can occur online and how to safely and responsibly use the internet.

This program has a strong focus on the four R’s Respect, Resilience & Respectful Relationships. In the afternoon all the grade 4’s came together in one room to join in a virtual eSmart classroom with 100’s of other school’s from around the country. This virtual classroom asks questions of the students which helps to provide a basis for greater thinking on how they can use the internet safely and more responsibly. Each student created a pledge board to show what they will do to become a safer more responsible person on the internet using the ideas that had been discussed during the day. It was a fantastic experience for all the students and a great way for them to grow their understanding of the dangers of the internet when not used correctly.
