Chess Club Term 1, 2019

Term one chess classes commenced on Thursday 14th February provided by Dark Horse Chess.  All children settled in well and are enjoying the change of room from the Library to Mrs Beth Joyce (1J) room.  Chess Club will run every Thursday to the end of term 1 from 1.10 pm to 2.00 pm.

Interschool Chess Tournament

Interschool Chess Tournaments are a fantastic opportunity for some of our talented students to further challenge and extend themselves in their analytical thinking and problem solving.  They serve as a wonderful platform for resilience building in a competitive environment, as well as offer a great opportunity for socialising among peers with similar interests and talents in the wider community.

If your child is enrolled in lunchtime chess classes offered at Rangeview, plays for a chess club, has had chess lessons in the past, or just feels confident enough to attend a chess tournament, please do not hesitate to get in touch!  There is no limit to the number of students who can attend a tournament.  

Rangeview has been invited to take part in the following Chess Victoria Primary Open Zonal in Term 1.  If you are interested in taking part, please return this form to the Rangeview office ASAP.
