Highlights from Heights
Springvale Rise Primary School has been celebrating Reconciliation Week and last Monday, the Heights Campus students came together to 'Be a Voice' for reconciliation. Students created ‘Be A Voice’ hands as a symbol of Springvale Rise's dedication to take action and be a voice, working towards reconciliation in Australia.
We have been very fortunate to be one of the schools involved with the Glasses for Kids program. Optometrists and other specialist staff came to our school and tested students’ eyesight to determine if they needed glasses. We think our students look spec-tacular and the glasses will help to make learning easier for them.
Gardening Club has been a huge success… each Wednesday, students have been using brooms, rakes, and other equipment to help in our garden. Our main focus has been collecting the leaves that have fallen during Autumn. Some students from MLC are so engaged in gardening that they have been helping every lunchtime.
Thank you to all the gardening helpers!
Ms Milan has been searching through our amazing vegetable garden and look what she found!!
What did the MLC make with this special vegetable?
