LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH WHILE YOU MAKE NEW FRIENDS

Are you too shy to talk to people because you cannot speak English very well? Well, you can improve your English because Killester College runs a ‘Conversational English Class for adults’ every Monday morning from 10.00am till 12.00pm during school term, for parents, family members and friends.  Classes are fun, where you are safe to try your new language skills in a friendly place. You will learn words that you may use every day while at the same time making new friends who will encourage you to talk in English.  We also talk about things that are happening in our community.

We would love you to join us to help improve your English and at the same time have lots of fun in the Family Learning Centre at Killester College. Please sign in at the office.

Queries can be directed to Loreto Cannon  lcannon@killester.vic.edu.au .  We hope to see you there.

Springvale Snow Festival - 30th July

Date:  Sunday 30 July

Event Time:  12pm - 7pm

Venue: Buckingham Ave, Springvale

Springvale Snow Fest is a winter carnival and multicultural food festival in the heart of Springvale and the biggest annual event in Greater Dandenong.

This year the festival will have some old favourites like free snow play with real snow from Mt Buller, a jam-packed main stage of entertainers, fantastic foods and more exciting activities for everyone to enjoy.

There will be something new on the streets of Springvale this year. An artificial ice-skating rink, for you to glide over. Bookings for ice skating are essential so skate on over to our website and book your place today.

The day will end with a spectacular bang and a fireworks finale beginning at 6.50pm.

The City of Greater Dandenong is committed to reducing single use plastics - don't forget to bring your own water bottle to fill up at our free hydration station.

For Springvale regulars, if you spend $50 or more at a Springvale business on Buckingham, Balmoral, Windsor, or Queens Avenues, you can go into the draw to win a free ticket onto the ice. All you need is a receipt that shows the business name, address, ABN, amount you spent, and the date you made your purchase. Submit your entry here.

Mazenod FC - Girls Soccer Team:

Mazenod FC is actively striving to create a Female Football program to run parallel to our long-running male football department.

At present, we have FIVE female teams with room to grow. As such, we have places available to fill our Under 13 and Under 15 GIrls teams, who will play in the Football Victoria metropolitan competitions this season.

With the FIFA Womens Football World Cup due on our shores this year, we would like to see the number of female footballers grow, not only for us but for the nation in general.
